How to access our online courses?
1. Navigating to the Online Courses
Once on the website, look for the 'Resources' tab on the menu. This menu is located at the top of the webpage, just below the website logo. From the drop-down list that appears when you hover over 'Resources', select 'Courses'.
2. Selecting the Course
Once you access the page with the list of available courses, feel free to browse through the options until you find a course that suits your needs. As an example, let's say you come across the course titled 'Manual for Young People Who Stutter (YPWS)'. To explore more about this course, simply click on the 'Join' button to open the course details page.
3. Joining the Course
On the course details page, you will see another 'Join' button at the bottom of the page. Click on this button. A 'Log In' pop-up will appear on your screen.
If you are a new user, click 'Sign Up' at the top of the pop-up. You can register using your email address, or you can choose to sign up through your Google/Facebook account by clicking on the respective buttons. After registration, you will be redirected to the course page.
4. Understanding the Course Layout
The course page is divided into two main sections. On the left side of the screen, you will see a progress bar that shows how much of the course you have completed. Below the progress bar, you will see a list of all the chapters in the course. You can click on any chapter title to navigate to that chapter.
On the right side of the screen, you will find the main content of the course. This includes text, images, open questions, quizzes, and links to the forum.
5. Participating in the Forum
Certain courses use the forum as a platform for you to share your thoughts, experiences, and questions. It is accessible through links in the course content. Please note that everything you share on the online forum is public and can be seen by other users. The goal of the forum is to encourage discussion with other people from all over the world.
6. Navigating through the Course
After reading and understanding each chapter, click 'Complete Step' at the bottom of the page. This will mark the chapter as complete and update your progress. Then, click 'Next Step' to move on to the next chapter.
