Stamily Confidants
One of Stamily's main goals is providing a safe and supportive space for its members. However, as in any community, issues may occasionally arise. To help address these situations, we have introduced the role of Stamily Confidants. Their primary responsibility is to offer a non-judgmental, empathetic listening ear to members who feel hurt or offended. Online and/or in-person.

What the role includes

A Stamily confidant serves as a contact person for any Stamily member who experiences feelings of insecurity or unsafety arising from interactions with other members (e.g., discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment, etc.).

A Stamily confidant does not primarily aim to resolve the problem but initially provides a non-judgmental listening ear.

A Stamily confidant, in consultation with the person reporting an issue, determines the most appropriate course of action.

A Stamily confidant may offer practical tools and suggestions for potential solutions.

A Stamily confidant always handles sensitive information with utmost care and discretion.
What the role does not include

A Stamily confidant refrains from taking sides in conflicts.

A Stamily confidant does not address matters that are taking or took place with people outside Stamily.

A Stamily confidant is not the point of contact for general questions about Stamily.

A Stamily confidant does not provide speech therapy or offer advice related to speech-related matters.

A Stamily confidant is not a counselor.
