Hosting my first Stamily Café

Hosting a Stamily Café was honestly an amazing experience. It was a lot of fun, really fulfilling, and at the same time a big boost in confidence. I also felt proud to be part of creating something that brings people together, and to host the first event of this kind in the country.

What surprised me the most was how many people actually showed up, more than we expected, and how naturally conversations started. Everyone connected quickly, nobody was left out, and the atmosphere was just great. We stayed until closing time, still talking and having fun.

I would definitely recommend organizing a Stamily Café, especially in cooperation with your local stuttering association. It is a great opportunity for their members to build international connections and practice speaking English in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Organizing a Café is also not a huge effort. Just pick a place, invite people, and enjoy the experience. So if you’re thinking about organizing one, just do it!
